Besides bringing with it the harsh reality of illness and possible death, Covid-19 created unforeseen and overwhelming circumstances for many. Humbled By Your Service saw two immediate voids:
BRIDGE THE GAP
"Frontlines who didn't have time to bring food to feed themselves & those who had lost their jobs and were struggling to feed their families"
Feeding those who were working around the clock to save those inflicted with the virus was imperative. Fortunately, we were able to get the help of a few restaurants who graciously agreed to subsidize lunches and dinners for both Robert Wood Johnson and JFK hospitals.
As for those who were economically struggling, we were able to get a few grocery stores to donate staple items and combined that with our fundraising efforts. We were able to deliver 6000 lbs. of food to McFoods pantry and 13000 bottles of water to United Methodist Church. No one should have to live without basic necessities such as food and water. We at Humbled By Your Service are fortunate to be able to fill that void as needed.
